Hello everyone, unfortunatly my French is not so good that i can write, but feel free to answer in French.
I have recently purchased a Delph 28 and this web site seems to be the only one on the internet that talks about it. From what I can see, the mast is not original( seems longer)
Does any one knwo how many of these were made, and if there are any particular concerns. The only problem that I found was some play in the rudder post. I am hoping this is something that I can fix next year when teh boat is out of the water.
The boat was previously on lake Geneva and will now be moved to lake Zürich
Cheers

Re: New owner Delph 28
Hi mate !
http://association-first30.org/Les-Firs ... lpins

Re: New owner Delph 28
Hi,
it would have been nice to participate however the boat arrived today in Zürich. We did not have time to put up the mast so this will be done tomorrow.
The boat is called Chi Chi, maybe someone knows this boat?
Cheers

Re: New owner Delph 28
Hi,
Delph 28 were built by Artechna, a yard located south of France, at La Seyne sur Mer near Toulon, in the mid 70's. I do not remember exactly how many were built, but I would say around 50 hulls.
Original rigging is 3/4 mast with runners, but some have been fitted with head genoa mast as yours.
She is very competitive going upwind, but downwind with heavy wind she proves quite unstable! Bon rouleur, bon marcheur!

Re: New owner Delph 28
I rememberthe old days of death rolling on IOR style boats. I think it can be overcome with a narrow head spinaker trimed very tight.
This will probably never be a problem for me on lake Zürich as it is almost always light wind. In case I ever race the boat, the huge spinannaker should be a help.
Cheers
